About us

Hello! We are Heather Stevens and Elise Ellicott and we began by making Christmas wreaths, swags and garlands for Christmas to sell locally, from our workshop on the edge of the Blackdown Hills in Devon. Building on this success the website was launched new for 2008.

We have a genuinely sustainable business which supports other local businesses; we buy all our craft materials and ribbons locally wherever possible. We use only local labour, and our packaging is all sourced from the Blackdown Hills. Our trees are replaced one-for-one when harvested.

Heather and her husband Nick grow the Christmas trees which form the base of the wreaths, and all other foliage - such as eucalyptus - is sourced locally. Between us, we have seven children who enjoy collecting holly and ivy from the hedgerows, and Heather's pet deer Skippy who enjoys eating the greenery!

Heather mainly works on the local wreaths which are sold with the trees at Connets Farm, Dunkeswell, Devon. Elise manages the mail order side. We work together on commissions and very large orders and we are always pleased to discuss your requirements.

The rest of the year we are both involved in farming - Elise with her pedigree Bluefaced Leicester sheep and Heather with her family's dairy cows. Making the wreaths allows us both to indulge our creative side! We are both Christians and although we enjoy making beautiful things we believe it is Christ at the centre of Christmas.
